- ✓ Mothers who smoke have increased rates of premature delivery;
- ✓ The newborns of smokers are smaller at every gestational age;
- ✓ Smoking seems to be a more significant determinant of birth weight than the mother’s pregnancy height and weight, parity or age.
Observe the relation between length of pregnancy and the weights of babies. Can it be assumed linear?
